Advice on Mexican Free Trade Zones
Attorneys from CCN’s Mexico City office have advised clients participating as users of Mexico’s Free Trade Zone program, a relatively new feature of Mexican law. CCN is currently working with another U.S. client to become a second Free Trade Zone in Mexico. It is expected that such authorization will allow the firm’s client to introduce goods into the Free Trade Zone, notwithstanding their origin, with preferential duty and customs treatment, as well as to allow such client to provide export services without participating in the IMMEX program or being obligated to comply with extensive regulatory controls.
