Mexican automotive exports were largely shipped to the United States and Canada. Such countries represent 86.1% of Mexican total vehicle exports. The United States received 75.7% of Mexican exports, while Canada was the final destination for 10.4% of such export production. The rest of Mexico’s vehicle exports went to Germany (2.8%), Argentina and Colombia (1.4%, each) and Brazil (0.9%).Of the four million light vehicles sold in the United States during the January through March 2016 period, Mexican vehicles represented 12.2% of all vehicles sold.
